Test your Passwords

This scary site allows you to test passwords before you start using them. I suppose a 1000 year to crack password would be fun to tell your friends about but even a few hours to crack would be a great start.

Just add spaces after your password they are really hard to guess (try 5 spaces after your regular password for fun).

I don't believe this website sends anything back to the owner since :
a) it would be pointless to just collect passwords
b) the code is visible to all for review and it has not been reported by anyone.

Nice job Small Hadron Collider nice stats too! Steve.

Check it out here : How Secure Is My Password?

IS THIS SAFE?

It is actually. I'm not harvesting passwords into an EVIL database. Of course that's exactly the sort of thing I would say if I were harvesting them. And it wouldn't be hard to do it: a couple of lines of code and I'd have all your passwords. MWUHAHAHAHAHAA! But, to be honest, I don't know what I'd do with them. Make a cake perhaps.
...No data ever travels from your computer back to the website. You can check this by loading up the webpage and then turning off your internet connection. You'll still be able to use the website to your heart's content.
... 10,000,000, is an approximate number of passwords a regular computer might be able to try every second.

Stellarium

This is a much improved tool, great for stargazing with the portable computer in the palm of your hand as you check out the night sky. Fun. Thanks Ginette. Steve.

Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.
It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go.

Google Body

It's fun, but not quite as intuitive as Google Earth or Maps. Steve.

Google describes the program this way: “Body Browser is a detailed 3-D model of the human body. You can peel back anatomical layers, zoom in, and navigate to parts that interest you. Click to identify anatomy, or search for muscles, organs, bones and more.” It’s fun stuff, giving you zoomable views of organ systems, the names of muscle groups and those secondary bones you always forget the names of. Unhear it - get that song out of your head!

Funny idea. Of course it works.
We created this site for those of you that have a song stuck in your head and you can't get it out no matter what you do. Using the latest in reverse-auditory-melodic-unstickification technology, we've been able to allow our users to “unhear” songs by hearing equally catchy songs.
