Dropping through the clouds, the vision of wall to wall green is so intense I imagined this was Jamaica. So green, so green. All the colours are so intense to me. Bright colours in the arctic landscape mean slight variations of the rock from deep black to iron rust red. Tiny flowers milimetres across burst forth with the colours of the tropics. The summer season is so short some seeds grow one year, pause and finish the cycle by blooming the following summer.
