So, it feels like 26 degrees; that's Canadian for: We are having a terrible, cold, wet summer, but we can pretend it's hot with humidex numbers on some days.
Anyways, we pack ourselves into the wonderfully hot sunbaked car and end up at Oka National Park Beach . It's great! I had not been to a Canadian beach in years, it sort of looks like the Caribean except it was packed with people.
Leaving Ginette and Catherine to the picnic table. I walk eastward and find a smaller beach with a campground feel to it, perfect for cooking, with ash pits, toilets and running water near the beach. Then, further on, past a small grassy point, I stop in front of a warning that "public nudity for no reason may be unlawful". I guess that is their way of showing they are "nudist friendly". Anyway, it's a nice little beach, with about 30 patrons scattered about reading, chatting and sunbathing. The water is refreshing since I ran part of the way down the coast as part of my "push the cardio" day.
Back at the regular beach, we are snacking and relaxing all afternoon commenting of all the people we see. There are some very good looking people out there. After a snooze we make our way back to the city by the old road; not a very exiting route. Time for food.
