Is Google Making Us Stupid?

Source: theatlantic.com

This is a lot of food for thought. I agree that paper insulates me from interruptions, the temptation of clicking a link and that much focus allows clear reflective creative thinking. Rather than click a link and read someone's thought, I can take a moment and think creatively with my own ideas.

What ensures a decent lifestyle for all? Do the poor always end up with whateaver the rich see fit to let them have? Is middle class the "dirt poor" of the past? Forever doomed to cycle through accumulation and loss at the whim of current aristocracy? Do the rich grow rich through very long cycles of accumulation (10 to 100 years?) ; while the middle class cycle from one recession to the next (7-10 years)?
