Watching NASA rocket take off from from 10 km vantage point

As we returned from our trip to San Andres, we flew over Cape Kennedy, Florida and watched a rocket climb from takeoff past our right side and up out of sight into the night sky. My first and only live rocket launch. Here I was, 10km up, and the rocket just flew past and accelerated upward to 100km or so. Great!
