Canadians refer to high school grades 9, 10, 11, 12 by number, in the US they are named as follows: 

9^th grade is freshman year, 10^th grade sophomore year, 11^th grade junior year, and 12^th grade senior year. But these same words are not used to describe the years of graduate school. Source
