Sorry to raise the password problem, but I see so many poor ones. At least add an uppercase letter to the end of every password you use to harden it. It is a long term project, just keep records and stay organized. Never just throw a password together.

- Enable two factor authentication when offered
- Give bogus answers to security questions
- Scrub your presence online or at least be aware of it
- Use a unique secure email for password recovery
DON'T
- Use the same password for multiple accounts
- Use a dictionary word as a password
- Use standard substitutions to create passwords
- Use a short password no matter how weird
