I'm just wondering, of course this is only for the kindle 3, but the 144kbps bandwidth is plenty for Voice over IP phone calls if the Ping, jitter, Qos etc are acceptable... It's fun to imagine possibilities. Imagine a mobile phone (smartphone) that calls from anywhere in the world without roaming charges. Drop your cell plan and use the Internet connection to place and receive calls, it is finally happening. Could Amazon become a telecom giant? Would they want to? Steve.
