Yay!

I set up a crude Ubuntu server at home with 2 drives, and read the files over the network to a windows PC.

Installed on My Ubuntu Server

1. Samba (right click in Putty to paste text from a webpage to the server command line)
2. vsFTPd Alternative instructions Quick FTP Server Setup
