- I came across a book called Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us and perused it. It is full of fascinating nuggets that give me perspective when I'm being a teacher; particularly the part about how tribes communicat, inefficiently but effectively (like using a song to spread public health information to illiterate women). There is also a very powerful page about what people don't want. Statements like "we need to belong" page 3, "sometimes it's ok not to take the lead" p. 6, "If you want us to follow you don't be boring"(page 31), "What people are afraid of isn't failure. It's blame. Criticism." page 91

Spent some time in bookstores
In lieu of the Chapters store, Ginette and I browsed at Raffin in Laval as well as Archambeault for french today.
