How to remove the new Windows Desktop Search WDS from Windows XP SP3

I have removed “WDS” (Windows Desktop Search) from several of our computers.

1. Go to Microsoft and reinstall whichever version you currently have.
2. Once you have installed the program immediately go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall “WDS”
3. Re-boot your computer.
   

You do not need to spend any time messing with the registry.

NOTE: Outlook will have a blank line where the utility is supposed to be. Simply ignore it.
