I've just been reading some suprising statistics produced by Gunter and Amazon.com
They are very eye opening. Here's a few samples...
- 67% of people who buy a book NEVER even open it
- 62% of people who buy hardware NEVER use it
- 42% of people who buy music only listen to it ONCE
- 83% of people who start to read a book NEVER finish it
- 86% of people who start to use new hardware NEVER use it again (the main reason being insufficient knowledge about and training on the application)
- 93% of people NEVER read the software users manual (no surprise there)
Simply, it means that statistically only 8% of people who buy hardware (especially hardware as complex as a Digital Camera) will ever learn to use it.
Or put another way...
"Statistically there is a 92% probability you will NEVER learn how to use your Digital Camera"
WOW! Now as we know Digital Cameras don't come cheap. And I'm certain that 100% of people who buy it DO plan to use it. Reported by Dan.
